John Calleija from Calleija Jewellers won the Men’s Jewellery Awards at the Harper’s BAZAAR Diamond Guild Australia 2009 Jewellery Awards for his cutting edge, 18ct white and rose gold hand crafted gents ring. The piece, called Matrix, features baguette and carre cut white diamonds with rare blue diamonds. The futuristic design was admired for its ability to make gentleman across the nation rethink traditional men’s jewellery.
Callieija said, “I wanted to create something cutting edge and innovative for the men’s market. This particular ring broke all the boundaries of design and I’m thrilled with the win.”
Mr Calleija of Calleija Jewellers brings a European flair to his designs which are all created at Marina Mirage on Australia’s Gold Coast.
