Perth jeweller Blennerhassett Fine Jewellers has won the Harper’s BAZAAR Diamond Guild Australia 2007 Jewellery Award in the Diamond Solitaire Piece category. Designer Susan Blennerhassett created a stunning white gold and diamond ring, named With A Twist.

Ms Blennerhassett explained that the solitaire ring is designed to curl and swirl around and off the finger, capturing a 1.00-carat brilliant cut diamond on its journey. Ms Blennerhassett and her business partner and husband John have showrooms in Claremont and Nedlands and a combined 66 years of experience in the jewellery business.

With a Twist

When designing my winning piece "With a Twist", Susan Blennerhassett chose to create a solitaire ring that would show a brilliant cut diamond off to its maximum, yet give the illusion that it was much larger than it's actual size.

With so many computer originated rings on the market now, Susan challenged herself to design something that had to be handmade. The ring became a smooth journey around the finger, twisting, turning then sweeping up to capture a stunning 1.00ct brilliant cut diamond.

Whilst appearing light and floaty on the finger, it still needed to be strong and secure, with a balance of volume and air. A true one of a kind.
